Abbey ICT acquires local IT firm

We are pleased to announce that as part of our strategy to strengthen the IT and Networking area of our business we have acquired Genesis IT, a leading provider of Managed IT Services and Solutions in the North of England.  We have already partnered with Genesis and worked jointly on a number of customer’s contracts over the last few years.  Prior to the Covid lock down we were in advanced discussions to merge. However final discussions were delayed as a result.

The push for integration was already happening within the market. It accelerated with the need for increased remote working during lock down, reinforcing our decision to merge and become a true “Full Service IT and Telecoms Solutions Provider”.  Many companies talk of having this capability, however, with more than half the team being accredited and certified engineers we will be more than capable of delivering our goal and we believe offer additional value for our customers as a consequence.

Day-to-day it’s business as usual only now we have the additional resources and IT expertise  from the Genesis IT team, to continue delivering the best solutions and services for your company.  As part of the merger the Genesis team have relocated to our Head Office in Blackburn.
